Jardines del Rey
Jardines del Rey (also called The King’s Gardens) are a tiny islands in size but for sure will have the time of your life while exploring them. They are filled with wonderful beaches and the sand is sugar white. The airport is located in Cayo Coco which connects this archipelago with Cuba.
Another great place to visit in Cuba is Trinidad. This is a town in central Cuba and the main industry is processing tobacco. In this town you can also visit beaches with crystal clear water and white sands that will take your breath away. In the tourist part of this town there are few discotheques where you can have fun with your friends after a relaxing day at the beach.
The food in Cuba is a mixture between the African, Spanish and the Caribbean cuisine. Typically a meal consists rice, beans and meat all served with a salad on the side that has cucumber, tomato, lettuce and avocado. There is a sauce that is typical for the Cuban cuisine and its called Mojo or Mojito (it’s not the same as the coctail). This popular sauce is a mixture of oil, garlic, onion and some spices like oregano and lime or orange juice.
Boliche is a tasty meal made of beef, sausages, garlic, dried oregano, paprika, potatoes, orange and lemon juices. A taste of heaven with every bite!
Arroz con pollo
This meal is basically rice combined with chicken. It stretches real well so it is nice to make it for a big company (4 to 8 people). It is a very colorful and flavorful dish. The ingredients used to make this fine dish are the following: chicken, rice, paprika, oregano, chopped onion and all of them are combined in a large skillet. Delicious!
When it comes to drinks Mojito is the national symbol of Cuba. This cocktail has five ingredients: white rum, sugar, sparkling water, lime juice and mint. The percentage of alcohol is about 10 which is relatively low. It is served on the rocks (poured over the ice). This drink was the favorite drink of the famous author Ernest Hemingway.
